Milwaukee..you really impressed me today.
Despite the fact that I’ve lived in Milwaukee for almost 12 years (today!!), I have never really explored the down town area. I normally only go downtown with a specific purpose, such as dinner or a Bucks game.
Today was my first free day of break so the mom and I decided to do some dilly dallying down town. We stopped at Anthropologie, The Milwaukee Public Market, Beans and Barley, and Whole Foods. Seeing that the majority of our day was spent around food, we obviously got inspired to make something delicious for dinner…Spanish Paella.
Before I tell you about our pit stops….here’s breakfast and lunch.
Breakfast this mornin’ was the usual. Chia infused banana oats with mega toppings.
In the mix: 3T rolled oats, 3T oat bran, 1/2T chia seed meal, 1/2 medium banana
Toppings: 1T peanut flour sauce, 1T cinnamon cashew nut butter, handful of raisins, 1/2 banana
After my workout I had a humungous apple and more raisins.
We are fully stocked with veggies so we opted to eat lunch at home before heading downtown. I made a big pear salad consisting of organic mixed greens, turkey, tomatoes, dried cranberries, sliced pear, and balsamic vinegar. I also had a peach yogurt on the side
Now for the fun part. Our damage First stop = Anthropologie
Anthro has the most adorable kitchenware. One day…when I have “money in tha bank,” I am going to go to Anthropologie and buy an entire set of bowls, instead of just 1… which BTW was on sale for $7.95
