The first thing I do every mornin’ after I wake up is start the coffee and ensemble my breakfast! I pretty much fall asleep thinking about oats and wake up thinking about oats!
This morning I had OIAJ. We go through nut butter like there’s no tomorrow in this house! Yesterday we finished off my home-made Cinnamon Cashew Nut Butter, leaving me a perfect jar for OIAJ!
I needed some restocking on my Vanilla and the infamous Penzeys Fajita Seasoning (and a few others). I took a snap shot of what is actually in fajita seasoning in case you wanted to make your own!
Lunch is photo-less because once again I forgot my camera My friend Mark and I met at Atlanta Bread Company. I got the half/half combo: Salmon Fresca Salad and Vegetable Soup. I just love catching up with old buds.
The sissy came home from Minne tonight and we wanted to make a special dinner. Off to Syndex we went for a few items. Home from Syndex we came with a lot more than a few items!
We got a beautiful pork roast along with lots of fruits and veggies. Good produce is scarce around here! I also found a really good deal on hazelnuts and sunflower seeds [nut butter nut butter].
I didn’t realize that these nuts weren’t pre-roasted and had an epic recipe disaster.
I’m going to have to try for round two because I’ve been dying to try hazelnut butter!
Dinner was OuTraGeOuS.
Isn’t she a beaut? Herb crusted pork roast (Penzeys Bavarian Spice and salt). We paired this with asparagus and sweet potatoes.
We forgot to make gravy so I topped mine with aged balsamic vinegar. Boom. Boom. It was phenomenal!
After dinner I was having a major craving for DQ. I picked up some dilly bars for the fam and got a small twist cone rolled in crunch topping. Hit. The. Spot.
Time to veg on the couch and watch House reruns.
