The place we ate at was called Foolish Craigs. Their menu was extremely creative and I would definitely recommend this place to any living in or visiting BoCo.
After Dinner on Friday we walked about a mile and a half to yet another fro-yo place: RIPPLE! I was already pretty stuffed, but I am so glad we went anyways because this place definitely makes the top of my list when it comes to fro-yo, and I think it’s safe to say I am pretty knowledgeable in that category
What I liked about Ripple was their flavor selection. Have you ever heard of pumpkin spice fro-yo that actually tasted like a pumpkin spiced latte? Yah, thought so!
Not only was their flavor selection to die for, but their topping selection was ridiculous. Melted peanut butter? gluten free brownies?
Like I said before, these were the best seasonal flavors I have ever tasted! My mix included: Pumpkin Spice, Caramel Apple, Chai, and Maple Syrup! I topped it with a few of my favorites: graham cracker crumbs, bloobs, and shredded coconut.
Saturday, Nomad Day
Saturday we had plans to go to Rocky Mountain National Park, but the sister woke up with a serious case of the sniffles and chills. We decided last minute it would be best to stay in Boulder. No fear, with a little Advil and Dayquil- she never felt better
By 8:30 we were off to the Boulder Farmer’s Market via Boulder Creek Trail. 4 miles never felt so short. Time is subjective, no?
After tea, we decided it would be a good idea to walk another 2 miles to the Trail Head of the Flatirons and hike to the top! We grabbed some grub from Modmarket stand and were off. I got the Local (same thing I got last time I was here….oops).
Up to the 1st Flat Iron.
I want to say this is a little over half way to the top.
Here is the top!
On our way back down, we paused briefly for some home-made Millet Flax Granola bars! (recipe to come later in the week!)
Once back down, we were hungry yet AGAIN. I tell yah, when you’re with the Hersh Sisters, eating every few hours in just what we do We stopped at a local smoothie joint called Rush and each got a massive smoothie. I got the Dali, which was fully equipped with acai, mango, blueberries, peaches, and vanilla soy milk.
