It’s that time of year again. The holidays. The thing I love about the holidays is that it brings everyone together. Obviously, it’s human nature to center this time of year around food. This can be good and bad. Good, in that it gives me a reason to bake in large quantities:) Bad, in that my temptations can get the best of me.
This year I have decided to participate in the 20 Day Holiday Workout Challenge! I definitely need to give my girl Kristin from Iowa Eats credit, because that’s where I got the idea from. I am giving myself 25 days to complete 20 different workouts. I often times get stuck on doing the same workout routine every single each. Run, lift, yoga, run, lift, yoga. Not this time.
I am going to create a page that I will update with my daily workout so you can follow along! And now- I challenge you to do the same! Make this December different and pledge to yourself to get moving! Mixing up your workouts makes it fun and will give you a head start on your “New Years Fitness Resolution!”
Here is my first workout of the challenge:
4 Mile HIIT Interval Run
30 second sprint (9.5) x 1 minute recovery (6.2)
time: 33 minutes
1 minute squats + 30 sec. rest + 1 minute wide-arm pushups + 30 sec. rest
repeat 3 times
time: 9 minutes
Who’s with me!?
