- 1 ripe pear
- 1/3 C rolled oats
- 1T brown sugar
- 1/4t cinnamon
- 1/2T olive oil or butter
- pinch of salt
- 2-3T apple/orange/lemon juice (I used apple)
- optional topping, but highly recommended: greek yogurt
4. Then evenly spread crumble topping on top of the sliced pears.
5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the crumble topping begins to brown. note: the juice should bubble. This softens up the fruit.
Serve with non-fat plain Greek yogurt and garnish with a few pear slices.
Seriously. So easy and so good. Just because fruit crisps are traditionally a Fall recipe, doesn’t mean you can’t whip em’ out during Spring! I can’t wait to try this with berries this summer when they’re in season!
What is your favorite simple dessert?
Are you a single serve kind of baker? Should I keep these recipes rollin’?
PS: If I’m MIA the next few weeks it’s because finals are this week and next. 2 more weeks and I’m officially a college grad! OH EM GEE!
