I love taking recipes I’ve made in the past and giving them a twist, especially when they involve oats and Mason Jars. I love oats. I love Mason Jars.
A few months back I posted about “Oat Bake in a Jar.” Here’s what It looked like the first time: a little bit plain and boring, but still extremely tasty.
This time I added some fresh fruit and jam to sweeten it up and give it some texture!
Oat Bake in a Jar (Fruit on the Bottom)
-1t chia seeds
-5 drops liquid stevia
-1t baking powder
-handful of bloobs
Spray mason jar with non stick cooking spray and preheat oven to 375. Then, mix all ingredients in a small bowl. Place a handfull of berries at the bottom of a mason jar and pour oat mixture on top. Bake for 30-35 minutes. Top with jam/preserves.
I did miss my banana. and my peanut butter. You can never go wrong with bananas and peanut butter…it’s true. I’m thinking about making this as a dessert instead of breakfast. How good would this be served hot with vanilla ice cream?
Don’t think I haven’t had oatmeal for dessert before…
