Oh hey new Saucony‘s! I got a surprise pair in the mail this week thanks to an awesome partnership with FitFluential. This is actually my first Fitfluential campaign that I have been apart of (minus the Anytime Fitness ones…because for those I’ve been on the brand side). I’ve only worn them a couple of times, so I am going to wait to do my review until I’ve gotten my fair share of runs in.
I did wear the to the gym yesterday. Carly and I headed to a local Anytime Fitness for a Saturday sweat sesh! Look how cute they have it decorated for Halloween!
We warmed up with a 10 minute incline walk on the treadmill, increasing from a 3.0 walk to a 4.0 jog. The incline was set at 15. It got our heart rates up, that’s for sure.
I was excited that the Anytime Fitness we were at has gone through a recent renovation and added a small group training room, fully equipped with Fitness On Request.
I’ve never tired F.o.R. before, but I am glad we did. I’ve been a little unmotivated to push myself and a virtual trainer is exactly what I needed.
You can choose between a variety of different classes ranging in time. There was yoga, different strength training classes, cardio classes, etc. We chose to do a 35 minute Kinetics class with SARA. This class was very similar to Corepower Yoga Sculpt: a mixture of cardio, weights, and plyo. Love it.
The cool thing is, I actually know Sara; I met her at the Anytime Fitness Annual conference. She is super awesome, energetic, and overall a great trainer.
Here’s some shots from inside the training room. We had it all to ourselves.
We had a lot of fun and I am excited to explore the different classes…especially when I am feeling unmotivated or if it’s raining!
Best part is…IT’S FREE at my gym
Carly and i made our way home from the gym and it was on to some major ball making. We have a little Halloween celebration at AF Corporate on Friday…and I’m in charge of balls.
Car brought over some of her famous Paleo Pumpkin Bars and we had a mini #fail. No worries there were plenty! Plus, I have a really clean floor.
I always feel terrible when I bake or cook anything because I destroy the kitchen (sorry Blake). I promise I am good at cleaning. Check out the tornado…
Carly and I ended up making almost 100 balls…with 3 new flavors including a Paleo Mexican Chocolate Version! Get excited for those recipes.
I wasn’t quite sure how to store them so I froze them in batches on a plate and then transferred them to a large mixing bowl. From there I will store them in the freezer until Friday!
Have you ever done a virtual fitness class?
What did you do this weekend?
