WHO’S COMING OVER FOR A COCKTAIL?
Lin and I went straight for the Hot Toddy cocktail recipe because we both love apple cider AND Fireball. You read that right. Fireball is my shot of choice. Screw vodka or rum…Fireball is the bomb! I feel like it’s a love or hate kind of liquor. I think the reason I like it so much is because it goes down smooth and leaves my mouth tasting minty fresh!
So I have to tell this story. The day Lin and I were testing this recipe, she decided on a whim to chop 8 inches off her hair. She hasn’t had hair shorter than her shoulders since EVER. She kept going back and forth between if she was going to do it or not and finally I said, woman, just take a damn shot and LET’S DO IT. And that she did. A shot was taken and 8 inches were chopped off. Sometimes that’s all you need 🙂
- 4 cups apple cider
- 1 large orange, sliced
- ½ cup fresh cranberries (more for garnish)
- 3 springs of rosemary
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (and 2 cinnamon sticks- if you have them)
- 4 1.5 oz. shots of Fireball
- Place all ingredients minus the fireball into a large pot. Turn to high heat and bring to a boil. Then, reduce to low and let simmer, uncovered, for 10-20 minutes or until cranberries begin to soften.
- Add a shot of fireball to 4 glasses and then add 1 cup of the cider mixture on top. Garnish with fresh cranberries and an orange slice. DRINK HOT.
