Today marks the official last day of Oatmeal Week 2017. Every year when this day comes, I get super sad and nostalgic (yes I get nostalgic about oatmeal), but then I remember that there’s always next year! Oatmeal Week shall live on until the end of time!
I wanted to use this post to not only round up all of OW2017’s recipes in one spot, but also 1. give a huge thank you to our brand sponsor, Better Oats 2. Share a list of ingredients and kitchen products that are must-haves for top notch oatmeal, and 3. share a few more of my favorite oatmeal recipes from FFF!
Oatmeal Week 2017
- Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Oatmeal
- Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake Overnight Oats
- Crock-Pot Samoa Oatmeal
- Fluffy Banana Stove-Top Oatmeal
- Birthday Cake Batter Overnight Oats
- Pumpkin Pie Slow Cooker Oats
Choosing a favorite oatmeal recipe is like choosing a favorite child…you just can’t! But if I HAD to choose- it would be the Cake Batter Overnight Oats. Can’t even. #sprinkles
Better Oats – Brand Partner
A huge thank you to Minnesota-based, Better Oats, for partnering with Fit Foodie Finds for this epic week of breakfast goodness. If you haven’t used their oatmeal products before, get on that! They have an array of products ranging from the ones featured in these recipes to 100 calorie flavor packs (the Apple Cinnamon is legit). We love Better Oats because they truly do oatmeal the right way. Their organic line is my personal favorite, but the convenience of their single serve pouches is on point for a busy lifestyle. I know I would have killed for those things in the dorms in college!
Better Oats just rebranded to some sleek black packaging which I really like because it makes them stick out at the grocery store. Not only can you find Better Oats pretty much everywhere in Minnesota, but they are nation wide. Here is a store locator for more information on where to buy.
Oatmeal Kitchen and Ingredient Essentials
If you put all of FFF’s oatmeal recipes side by side you will see some trends in the ingredients we use. We always choose all natural sweeteners over sugar, use lots of spices and extracts, and amp things up with seeds! Here are some ingredients we always have on hand JUST IN CASE we want a big bowl of oatmeal 😀
- Better Oats Organic – Old Fashioned, Quick Oats, and Instant Steel Cut
- Chia Seeds
- Unsweetened Almond Milk
- Maple Syrup
- Vanila Extract
I had a lot of interest in the jars I use to store my oatmeal in when I am prepping for the week. Linley and I LOVE Weck Jars. They come in all different shapes and sizes, but we specifically love the 10 oz. jars that you can get from Crate and Barrel because they fit a single serving perfectly.
Glass containers are everything when it comes to meal prep! Here’s another option if jars aren’t your jam.
