Do you guys ever get a tick at the end of your workout where you just want to end it with a bang?
Like, heart pounding, sweat dripping, eyes crossed kind of bang? I DO I DO! I feel so much more accomplished when I end on a high note. Like I should get a big sticker or gold start or lollipop. At least a pat on the back and a high five. This is why I invented The 10-10-10 Workout.
It’s a race against yourself (and the clock) to see how fast you can do…
10 squats + 10 push-ups for 10 rounds.
I always try and come out under 5 minutes, but the last time I did this…I came out 3 seconds short. #theworst
The great thing about the 10-10-10 Challenge, is that you can insert any 2 exercises (even ones with plyometric movements like burbees or jump squats) and do the same exact thing. The reason I like this challenge, is because it’s by reps not time. You know exactly how much work you’ve done and how much more you have to go! It’s also an excellent way to measure progress.
If you did this little burst of fun after every workout for the next month, I gaurentee you’ll lose 10 pounds. Just kidding, I’m no infomercial. I guarantee you will improve on your time! And strength and muscles too!
Speaking of improvements, my music selection has gotten to be pretty boom boom pow if you ask me. Do you use Spotify Premium? If not, I HIGHLY SUGGEST IT! It’s the best $9.99/mo purchase I have ever made because you literally have access to millions of songs that you can download and save to your phone to play off of Wifi. It sure beats paying .99 per song, especially if you are a group fit insturctor like me! Here’s what I’m jammin’ to lately.
So tell me- What are your top workout songs as of late? What should I add to my Spotify?
