2016 Summer Sweat Series: Fitness Plan Week 1

The 2016 Summer Sweat Series officially starts today. Yipppppppppie!! Monique and I have been hard at work putting this together over the last 8 weeks and we are so proud and excited for year 2 of the SSS. We’re back with a better than ever meal plan including some of our favorite FFF and AK recipes and KILLER workouts designed by Nourish, Move, Love. If you followed along last year’s Sweat Series, the format is very similar. Every Sunday FFF and AK will release both the week’s meal and fitness plans. In between we’ll share more fun content such as BONUS workouts and giveaways from our amazing sponsors (oh hai Finish Line and adidas).

Meal Plan/Grocery List

The meal plan is designed for 2 people. Most of the meals are vegetarian friendly and easily adaptable. The entire meal plan is gluten free friendly. We believe in wholesome, nutritious, unprocessed ingredients.

And now for z workouts…


The workouts were designed by the amazing Lindsey from Nourish, Move, Love. We took your feedback from last year and focused on 30-45 minute high intensity workouts that require little to no equipment. We all lead busy lives, but we can’t use that not to move our bodies daily. Get in, work hard, and get out! That’s our motto. As always, feel free to make these workouts your own and modify as needed! After all, this is suppose to be fun. Below you will find a list of equipment that you’ll need over the next 4 weeks. 

Equipment Needed:

  • Athletic attire + shoes
  • Chair or bench
  • Medium-to-heavy set of dumbbells
    • Fit Girl In The Making or Summer Sweat Newbie: just getting into this whole working out thing try, 5-10 lb
    • Basic Fit Girl or Summer Sweat Alumni: hit the weights a couple days a week and looking to keeping toning {or cardio queen upping her strength game}, try 8-15 lbs
    • *Fit Girl Pro or Summer Sweat Superstar: love lifting heavy things and this ain’t your first rodeo, try 12-25 lbs
