PEOPLE. Get that slow cooker out (here’s the one we use), put it on your counter, and never put it away! Today we’re partnering with my fav, Silk, for this amazing, easy, hearty breakfast —> Slow Cooker Apple Cinnamon Steel Cut Oats. You guys know I am oat obsessed. Oats for breakfast. Oats for a snack. Cold oats. Warm oats. Oats, oats, oats, you name it. One of my favorite ways to make oatmeal in the fall and winter is in my slow cooker. It makes cooking steel cut oats so much easier. It usually takes 40 minutes or so on the stove top, with constant stirring. However, in the slow cooker, you can throw all the ingredients in, give it one stir, and you’re good to go.
These delicious Apple Cinnamon Steel Cut Oats feature Silk Vanilla Unsweetened Almondmilk. That’s what kept this dish dairy-free and vegan! I love the extra calcium you get with Silk as well as the fact that it has 0g sugar. I’d rather get my sugar from maple syrup because that flavor… YUM. Okay, so what’s all in this recipe?
- steel cut oatmeal
- Silk Vanilla Unsweetened Almondmilk
- maple syrup
- ground cinnamon
- sea salt
- shredded apple
^^ that’s right, shredded apple. That is the secret method to these oats. Shred your apple instead of dicing it. It will infuse your apple flavor into every bite! So so sooo nummy. Any kind of apple will work, but my preference is Gala.MY OTHER VIDEOS
