Flavor up your store bought almond milk with one of these amazing tasty variations. From strawberry to dirty chai, these flavors are going to blow your mind.
Can we talk about something serious for a second that I’ve never actually talked about on the blog? Until about the age of 16, I was SEVERELY lactose intolerant. I didn’t think growing out of an allergy was a thing, but the day I hit puberty was the day my body started accepting dairy products. Long story short, for the majority of my childhood I got very ill off of milk, ice cream, etc. It went STRAIGHT through me. I remember eating ice cream and thinking “I will pay for this in about 20 minutes.”
Way back then, non-dairy milks weren’t very popular so I literally ate dry cereal and learned to like it. I think age 20 was the time I discovered almond milk and it was instant love because even though my body could handle dairy at that point, I preferred non dairy milk of dairy. Silk (today’s sponsor!) was the first brand of almond milk I ever tried, actually. I’ve always been an unsweetened kind of girl, whether plain or vanilla. I like to keep things simple so that I can jazz them up myself. In case you’re unfamiliar with Silk Unsweetened Almondmilk’s nutrition label…here’s what you get per serving:

Today, I’m sharing 5 different ways to flavor almond milk at home! After testing and shooting this post, I felt like a kid at the state fair who had just drank about 10 glasses of milk…minus the sick tummy because these almond milks have no dairy and no unrefined sugar in them. Bingo, bango, bongo.

MEAL PREP TIP! — Overnight Oats!
Of course we’re ALWAYS thinking about breakfast and let’s get real…we didn’t drink all of these flavors at once, nor did we waste any of them. What did we do? MAKE OVERNIGHT OATS! Magic, right?
- One of the recipes above
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 tablespoon chia seeds
- Optional: 1/4 cup nonfat Greek yogurt (or coconut yogurt)

All the flavours sound great!
In the Chai recipe…how is the concentrate made?
I bought a small inexpensive almond milk makers to prepare almond milk for my Pure Bred Texas Rescue Chihuahua …I had to chase her around the house for her to try it!!!
Have you ever considered gently warming the chai spices in the milk to infuse the flavors instead of blending? I find the taste out of this world. PS, I use fresh grated tumeric and ginger to make a golden chai almond milk I refrigerate after cooling and straining 2 qrts back into the store container
Hi,
I love vanilla Unsweetened Almond milk and I make it at home a lot for the family. I normally use Natural Vanilla Paste (2 tablespoons) from LittlePod in 250mlof the Unsweetened Almond Milk and add little monk fruit to sweeten it up but the vanilla taste never really comes through at all.
Do you have any suggestions?
Have a good day!
I’ve actually never really used that paste before! I would try vanilla extract if I were you! That always seems to be more potent than vanilla bean paste!
Add pure vanilla extract! I found as we love flavours so much….our taste buds get used to that flavour! Discontinue vanilla for a while then go back to it as if it is new to you! Make the chocolate! Are frozen strawberries! Blueberries for a blue refreshing beverage! But natural flavour extracts from LorAnn in the USA!
And go wild!!!
Instead of maple syrup or honey, would it work to use a sweetener like stevia instead?
Hi May! It should still work. We don’t cook with stevia often, so I’d start slowly with how much you add! It’s for sure not 1:1.
Oh wow, this is such a clever idea! Chocolate churro milk (like, YUM) and maple sea salt milk (also YUM) are always really easy, and they would be my absolute favorites! Definitely need to give the chai a chance!
I’ve never even thought about flavoring my almond milk, but now that I’ve seen this I definitelyyyy need to check out the chai and maple flavors!
I hope you love them!
dirty chai, oh my! that sounds tasty!
Dirtayyyyy.
