what you need:

sweet rice water

Rinse

Place 3 cups of rice into a large bowl and rinse the rice under warm water 2-4 times and drain.

Strain

Next, boil water. Meanwhile, strain the rice into a strainer, if you don’t have a strainer you can drain it like normal. Set aside.

Steam

Add water into the steam pot and place the bamboo basket on top. Turn the heat on high. It’s important that the water doesn’t touch the bottom of the bamboo basket.

Serve

Let the rice steam for about 30 minutes or until the rice is cooked to your liking. Serve and enjoy!
