Poke
Use a sharp fork or knife to carefully poke holes all over the potato. Drizzle the potato with olive oil. Use your hands to massage oil into the potato.

Season
Season the potato with salt & pepper. Massage the spices into the potato. Place on a microwave-safe plate. Cook the potato on high for 4 minutes.

Flip
Feel the potato to make sure it isn’t mushy, then flip and cook on high for another 2 minutes. If the potato is fork tender, remove it from the microwave.

Serve
Remove the potato from the microwave and cut the potato in half. Fluff the insides of the potato with a fork and serve with butter, salt, and pepper.
