Prepare
Preheat oven to 350ºF and prepare the crust according to recipe. Use a fork to poke holes into crust. Bake for 20-25 min. Remove from oven and let cool. Set aside.

Refrigerate
Make the coconut filling according to recipe. The coconut mixture should thicken very quickly. Let the mixture cool. Pour onto pie crust, cover & refrigerate.

Broil
Add coconut flakes to a baking sheet and broil for 1-2 min. or until golden brown. Remove from oven. Set aside. Make whipped cream according to recipe.

Serve
Spread the whipped topping on top of the coconut custard and top with the toasted coconut. Serve immediately or refrigerate.
