Asian Zing Cauliflower Wings

These Asian Zing Cauliflower Wings are baked until golden brown and tossed in a delicious spicy Asian sauce! Make them for dinner or bring them as an appetizer to your next party!

Ingredients

  • 1 small head of cauliflower, chopped into florets (~4 cups)
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole wheat breadcrumbs (any kind)
  • 2 tablespoons white sesame seeds
  • 2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons chili garlic sauce
  • 2.5 tablespoon soy sauce (or tamari)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh grated ginger
  • 5 tablespoons honey

Instructions

  1. First, preheat oven to 400ºF and spray a baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Next, Prep cauliflower by washing and patting dry. Then, cut into bite-sized florets and set aside.
  3. Crack 3 eggs into a medium bowl and use a fork to whisk. Set egg wash aside.
  4. Prepare the breading. Place breadcrumbs, sesame seeds, ground ginger, garlic powder, and salt into a large bowl and mix until combined.
  5. Dip each cauliflower floret into the egg wash, making sure to fully coat the entire thing.
  6. Then, dip each piece of cauliflower into the breadcrumb mixture, coating the entire thing.
  7. Place on cookie sheet and repeat until all florets are coated.
  8. Bake cauliflower florets at 400ºF for 15 minutes.
  9. Remove baking sheet from oven and carefully flip each cauliflower wing over.
  10. Place back into the oven and bake at 400ºF for another 10 minutes.
  11. While the cauliflower wings are baking, prepare sauce.
  12. Place chili garlic sauce, soy sauce, fresh grated ginger, and honey into a large bowl. Whisk until combined.
  13. Once cauliflower wings are done cooking. Let them cool for around 5 minutes. then, transfer them into the sauce and toss.
  14. Serve with your favorite wing sauce such as ranch or blue cheese.
