Linley and I were at the grocery store the other day to get everything we needed for recipes for the week. We were in the produce section and headed straight for the avocados (duh). As we were testing for ripe avos we must have looked super friendly because we were simultaneously bombarded by Doug the produce man, another curious gentleman wondering if avocados were a fruit or a veggie, and a sweet woman who dropped her whole bag of apples.
This fantastic encounter reminded me how much I love being around people, how much I love the grocery store, and how much I love my job. We stood in the produce section chatting about recipes, watermelon radishes, and all came to the conclusion that an avocado is in fact a fruit. The things you can learn in the grocery store if you just smile while you’re shopping. Seriously people, you should give it a try!
Anywho, back to the hummus. I HEART HUMMUS. I heart hummus so much that I eat it every single day. I prefer to eat it with rice crackers, but I’ve also been known to add it to my superfood bowl even if the flavors don’t necessarily match. When in doubt, add hummus.
