Basic Crockpot Shredded Chicken Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • ~1 tablespoon olive oil (optional)*
  • salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Place chicken breast inside of your slow cooker. Then, drizzle on olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 2-3 hours.
  3. Remove from slow cooker and then shred with 2 forks.
  4. Flavor with one of the recipes listed in this post.

Notes

  • I’ve cooked my chicken without olive oil before because chicken creates it’s own moisture inside of the slow cooker without it.¬†However, olive oil will help it be more tender.
