Beer can chicken comes out so tender on the inside with flavorful, crispy skin!
what you need:
Whole chicken Dry rub Butter Olive oil
Make Dry Rub

First, combine brown sugar, garlic powder, salt, pepper, thyme, paprika, chili powder, and red pepper flakes.
Rub Under Skin
Rub the spice rub underneath the chicken skin and then secure butter in between the skin and the meat.

Rub on Top
Drizzle the chicken with olive oil and then season the entire chicken with the rest of the dry rub.

Bake or Grill
Situate the chicken cavity on top of an open beer can. Grill or bake at 425ºF for around 1 hour or until the internal temperature reaches 165ºF.

Serve!
Serve beer can chicken immediately or shred and save the rest for later.
