Crock Pot  Turkey Broth

An excellent way to use up a turkey carcass around the holidays & leftover vegetables.

what you need:

cooked turkey carcass  carrots  celery onion garlic cloves fresh thyme fresh rosemary fresh oregano water kosher salt

Add

Place the turkey into a slow cooker. Add the carrots, celery, onion, garlic, & fresh herbs. Pour water over all of the ingredients & add kosher salt.

Cover

Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 12 hours or overnight. Remove the cover & remove large chunks of the turkey & other ingredients. Place a large pot in the sink.

Pour

Carefully pour broth over the sieve & catch any small pieces of herb or vegetable. Gently press what was caught in the sieve with a spatula to release any broth.

Serve

Discard all other ingredients except for the turkey broth in the pot. Use the homemade turkey broth for gravy, soup, or anything your heart desires.
