Pan Fried  Tofu

With just a few simple ingredients, you can create crispy and flavorful tofu!

what you need:

firm or extra firm tofu cornstarch kosher salt avocado oil

Slice

Slice tofu in half lengthwise and wrap in a paper towel. Set a heavy pan on top of the tofu for about 1 hour. Slice into 1-inch cubes and add to a bowl.

Toss

Add cornstarch and salt to bowl. Toss until all the tofu pieces are coated. Heat avocado oil in a large skillet until very hot. Use tongs to place the tofu in the oil.

Fry

Once all tofu is in the pan gently move each piece around to be sure it doesn’t stick to the pan. Fry for 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown.

Serve

Remove the tofu from the pan and season with salt. Serve with your favorite vegetables!
