Whisk together eggs, milk, and maple syrup and set aside.

Soak bread
Put each slice of bread in the egg mixture and let sit for around 1 minute to soak. Then, lift the bread out of the mixture and let excess egg drip off each piece of bread.

Fry bread
Heat 1 tablespoon of butter over medium/low heat in a large nonstick skillet. Place bread in skilled and let each side cook until golden brown.

Serve
Before removing from the pan, sprinkle on a generous amount of cinnamon sugar on each slice of French toast and flip. Top with berries and syrup.
