This pork shoulder recipe is made with a yummy dry rub. First it's seared in butter, then cooked low and slow.
Season Pork
First, combine all the spices for the pork dry rub. Then, rub all parts of the boneless pork shoulder roast. Make sure to get the inside flaps, too!

Sear
Heat butter in a large cast iron skillet. Sear all sides of the pork shoulder roast for 2-3 minutes, or until brown.

Slow Roast
Line a baking sheet with tin foil and place a wire rack on top. Roast pork shoulder on the rack at 250ºF for 7-8 hours or until the pork reaches 200ºF internally.

Shred
Use 2 forks to shred the slow roasted pork shoulder into large chunks. You'll get a crunchy edges and tender meat in every single bite. Enjoy!
