Instructions

  • Whisk eggs, milk, cinnamon, vanilla, maple syrup, and sea salt in a large bowl.
A mixing bowl contains eggs, cocoa powder, milk, and other liquid ingredients, with a whisk resting inside.
  • Add the bread to the bowl and mix until all the bread is evenly coated with the egg mixture. Let the bread sit in the mixture for at least 5 minutes, stirring periodically.
Bread cubes in a glass bowl with a wooden spoon, coated in a mixture, likely for a recipe. The bowl is placed on a light-colored, textured surface.
  • Add the melted coconut oil to the mixture and mix again.
  • Depending on what air fryer is used, you may need to cook these French toast bites in batches. Transfer half of the French toast bites to the air fryer and cook for 8 minutes at 350°F. Loosen the bottom of the bites and cook for an additional 2 minutes, or until golden brown. Cook all the bites.

Notes

  • The coconut oil is what helps make the French toast bites a golden brown color. Another oil can be used instead of coconut oil. Just keep in mind that the flavor of the oil will flavor the bites. A neutral oil is best. We chose coconut oil because we liked the flavor.
