I am SUPERRRR duper excited to introduce you to a new FFF series called: The Minnesota Series. Around once a month I will feature one of my favorite places in the Twin Cities area. Things will range from coffee shops, to outdoor activities, to restaurants! I haven’t been doing Minnesota justice on FFF and that needs to change.

It’s kind of hilarious that I named this The Minnesota Series when the first post isn’t even in Minnesota! The Pizza Farm is actually located an hour and a half south of the cities along the St. Croix River in Wisconsin. I don’t even care because it’s one of the most amazing places I’ve ever been! Linley, Brooke, and I, packed the car full of goodies and we were off for an afternoon delight. Let me give you the DL…

The Pizza Farm happens only on Tuesdays from March to October at a working farm called A to Z Bakery. All of the ingredients are either sourced locally or farm to table. Literally from the farm to the pizza to the table.

Do you live in the Twin Cities? You must check out The Pizza Farm in Stockholm, WI for a fun day trip filled with farm to table pizza!

Hundreds of people make the drive each week to eat this fabulous stone-fired pizza. It’s bring your own everything but pizza and booze. Most people come loaded with apps, salads, dessert, etc. Some even bring tables and chairs. Wine and beer is for purchase once you get there. It’s actually really reasonable too! Pizzas range from $25 to $35 and a bottle of wine was only $15.

The pizza menu is incredible. Since everything is grown on the farm, the pizzas change depending on what’s in season. The crust is thin and fluffy and the toppings are fresh and flavorful. If you’re wondering if they serve meat…the answer is YES! Last week when we went their specialty pizza of the week was a Short Rib Pizza. We’ll take one please!

I’ve only been to The Pizza Farm twice and each time there has been a considerable amount of people there. The more prime summertime you are there, the busier it is (aka longer waits for pizza). When we went last week, we only had to wait about 25 minutes to get our pizzas. Not bad at all!

While we waited, we drank some delicious cabernet, prepped our salad, and dessert! Nothing like berries and whipped cream to finish off a delicious night of food. We ordered 2 pizzas between the 3 of us. We definitely could have gotten away with just 1, but we wanted to try too many of the flavors!

I ate five pieces and I’m proud of it!

If only I would have taken a photo of the menu, then I could tell you exactly what we ordered. No can do. All I know is we got the prime rib, Italian sausage, an everything pizza (kinda), and one that had squash on it!

The wonderful and talented Brooke is the one who shot all these gorgeous photos.

If you live in the Twin Cities, this would be the PERFECT date, girlfriend, or family outing. It’s a little far from the cities, but totally worth it. You can either drive on the WI or MN (right along the St. Croix) side. The country is beautiful and you get to spend some quality time with good people.

Everyone is really friendly as well, both the workers and the people. I loved seeing everyone’s dinner spreads. We ended up right next to the cows. Oh, Wisconsin.

What a fun idea!!! Wish we had something like this in LA! Pizza and wine are my jams.

We do have a lot of food festivals though – including Vegan Oktoberfest which is coming up + I’m super psyched about!

The Pizza Farm is incredible! Next time you go, you should get pie from the Stockholm Pie Company to eat after the pizza. It’s a decadent evening but SO WORTH IT!!

They don’t sell them at the Farm but it’s WELL WORTH the trip into Stockholm. It’s a cute little town to walk around for a bit, too. I’m super hardcore and call the Pie Co in the morning when they open, find out what slices they have that day, and reserve some for my group so we get exactly what we want! I HIGHLY suggest that route. My favorites so far have been triple berry and double lemon. https://www.stockholmpieandgeneralstore.com/

Pizza Farms are the best! The best pizza I’ve ever had in my life was from the Nelson Stone Barn in Wisconsin (nelsonstonebarn.com). Simply incredible! I plan on writing a blog post about it next year, but I’m not sure I want to spread the word too much…
