Peanut butter and jelly overnight oats are a fun twist on classic overnight oats. Not only does this recipe remind me of a PB and J sandwich, but it’s nutritious and made with whole grains and chia seeds.
What You Need
- rolled oats
- vanilla almond milk, unsweetened
- chia seeds
- maple syrup
- all natural peanut butter
- Jelly or preserves
Variations
- Protein powder: if you’re looking to add more protein to your breakfast, try adding 2 tablespoons of your favorite protein powder.
- Swap the jam for berries: not a huge jam fan? Use mashed berries instead.
- Use peanut powder instead of peanut butter: a commenter asked if you could use peanut flour/pb2 instead of peanut butter and you absolutely can. We recommend swapping 1:1 and then adding a bit more liquid to make sure it’s not too thick.

I hear ya on the annoyance of being large chested. I’ve always hated it. Never able to wear the cute shirts or the button downs. In high school I swore by sports bras but flattening your chest like that all the time just isn’t good for them. But I always felt like my bras never gave me support, I was always hunched forward and had the worst shoulder back pains. Honestly i just wasn’t wearing the right size. Once I figured it out, it changed everything for me.. posture, back problems, even the kind of shirts I could wear (with the right type of bra). I use this site for my real bra size https://www.lindasonline.com/bra-fitting-calculator.html. There’s a couple others that are great too and accurate with this one. I used to wear 34DD or even 36D depending on what the bra places would tell me. I’m actually a 30DDDD or sister size 32DDD. I only shop for bras in UK now because most US places just don’t carry my size. Also, to make your chest look smaller, look for a bra called a minimizer. People are always shocked by my size when I wear a swimsuit because my bra makes them look much smaller. And I get to wear the cute flowy shirts that normally make me look like I’m wearing a sack. Also, the thing i love about wearing my correct size is that it’s actually helped shape them back up. Sports bras just do damage after a while if your not using them just for workout/sports.
Hi, I prepared this last night. I put 1/2 of the recipe in 2 containers. I just enjoyed it for breakfast. Absolutely delicious! The perfect amount of each ingredient. I topped it with strawberry jelly from Costco, used their peanut butter too! Thanks for sharing and can’t wait to try your peanut butter chocolate chip overnight oats!
So glad you loved it!!
Chantelle sports bras. The best and band sizes can be tiny. I’m a 34/36 DDD and my friend is like a 30 DDD we both love them. Chantelle Women’s Sport High Impact Convertible Bra, Grey/Mist, 30D https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00U8QEUXO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_8g.1AbWSRQYBZ
Can you use soy milk in place of almond?
I feel your pain. I’m a 36DDD. Shopping sucks, Vicki s rocks, even though I hate paying 60.00 for a bra, and excercise is a joke. Well said!
Sounds and looks very yummy, I am going to make it now for breakfast tomorrow morning!
Lee, I have a general OO question. What size jars do you make these in? When I make oats, I generally do so in a large bowl, but I’d rather be able to just grab and go in the morning.
Hiyah! To be honest, I make mine in a huge bowl too because I usually double or triple my OO recipes for the entire week. Here’s a single serve jar I love —> http://rstyle.me/n/caxgeeb6pp7
So, I’ve made this several times now and all I can say is THANK YOU for sharing this recipe. DE-licious!!!
Also, before my most recent health journey in the last 2-ish years, I was a DD (and I’m seriously thanking God that’s no longer the case). So I totally feel your pain (literally) and wanted to let you know that Athleta has amazing sports bras of all sizes, and they make ones for that size that are great for high impact exercising and reduce the bounce. Just sayin’ ?
😛 I have gotten a few sports bras from Athleta and I lOVED THEM. Still hoping I wake up one morning and they are gone, though 😀
YAY!!!! So glad you love this recipe. Overnight Oats are still my favorite and go-to breakfast! I’m glad you can relate with my DD issue, but happy that yours went down a bit 😛 #nooneelseunderstands
do you add the jelly with the oats before refrigerating?
Sorry about the totally late post, but I just stumbled upon your site! How far in advance could I make this? Could I make for the week and keep in the fridge, or is it literally overnight and wouldn’t be as good a day or two later? Thanks!!
No problem at all! Yes, you could make this and store in your fridge for up to 4 or 5 days! The longer the oats soak, the better 🙂
