Smoothies with a Spoon

Let’s get real, the only way I eat a smoothie these days is — thick and creamy with a spoon! This strawberry pineapple smoothie recipe is just that! Thick enough to eat with a spoon.

If you love strawberry smoothies and you love pineapple smoothies, then you are going to absolutely adore this amazing combination. To get started you only need a few ingredients and then optional add-ins to make it your own!

Ingredients

  • frozen pineapple
  • frozen strawberries
  • Greek yogurt
  • vanilla extract
  • unsweetened almond milk

Blend it Up

As always, you’re going to need a high-speed blender to blend this goodness together. Depending on how thick you like your smoothies, you can add more or less almond milk. This is pretty tried and true for all smoothies. Just make sure to monitor the liquid ratio for your preferred thickness! strawberry smoothie with pineapple chunks and whole strawberries in bowl

YES to fruit on the bottom of a smoothie and YES to eating smoothies with a spoon…I am never drinking my smoothies…a spoon is always involved. And I love fruit at the bottom for the texture and hey it is fun. Haven’t had pineapple in a while, so I’ll have to try this!

Smoothie GAME CHANGER!! Love the idea of the coconut sugar on the pineapple. I’m also a smoothie with a spoon fan.

Tips for Portland: Seriously, so excited for you. Ruby Jewel or Salt & Straw ice cream, Tasty n Sons for brunch, Porque No for Mexican, Pok Pok for Thai food, Laurelhurst Market for sandwiches, Nostrana for wood-fired pizza, and ALL THE STUMPTOWN COFFEE. I hope you have a blast – and it’s been too long since I worked out anywhere there except my parent’s athletic club ๐Ÿ™‚
