Over the past year or so, I’ve come to have a pretty amazing collection of shoes (Thank you Finish Line!). I’m not talking about stilettos, pumps, in da club…I’m specifically talking about athletic shoes. I pretty much have something to match every kind of top and bottom combination in my closet…pink, blue, green, black, patterned. I don’t feel bad about it at all. Most women have a mega collection of heels, flats, wedges, boots, etc. I however, have a very focused collection of shoes because it just makes sense for my lifestyle. For me, comfort is the number one thing I look for in a shoe and I am the most comfortable in a gym shoe. Plus- 90% of the time I am wearing some sort of activewear, whether I’m in the gym or just doing my day to day thang.
I am excited to be one of the first people to test out Adidas’s new Pure Boost X Running Shoes! I had them on the other day when my brother was over for dinner and he was SUPER JEALOUS ๐ Talk about a good looking shoe…and comfy too! It’s one of those shoes that’s so cool looking that I don’t want to wear them out at the gym ๐ I’ve actually never seen anything like it. The center of the shoe is detached from the sole with a dynamic foot arch, which pretty much molds to your foot. They’re lightweight, which I am a HUGE fan of and have a super comfortable sole.
Clearly I’m down to wear these guys on the street, but I’m also comfortable enough strapping them on for a run or for strength training in the gym. They are meant for running after all, but I’m all about a dual-purpose shoe.
I wrote up a workout inspired by the versatility of these bad boys. Lately I have been a HUGE FAN of mixing up my workouts by combining sprint circuits with strength circuits. I’d much rather jump on the treadmill, run for a bit, jump off, squat for a bit, back on the treadmill…etc.
Combine two minute treadmill sprints with a strength training circuit for the ultimate full body sprint and strength workout!

Nice shoes!
Lee this workout sounds fantastic! I love mixing cardio intervals with strength circuits as well. It makes the time fly by. Just saved the workout to try this week. Also, I’m really glad you threw the Crime Mob “Stilettos” reference in there. I love a good song pun ๐
Maybe not the most intense work out, but I love long walks in the spring/summer–listening to podcasts under the sun. It’s so refreshing! Otherwise, I love a good spin workout or a deep stretch yoga session.
Love the new kicks! And my favorite way to workout is super-setting strength training with cardio/core circuits. Love me some legs + plyos!
Omg!! I need new running shoes so bad and I’ve been a loyal Adidas Boost customer for the past like three years- I loove their shoes!! My favorite workouts are HIIT, short sweet and so intense, for sure, but I also love just straight up strength work if it’s leg day (leg day = <3)
I’ve been a distance runner for years but I’m just getting into speedwork and it’s SO much fun! I’m really loving track workouts, which is something I never thought I’d say ๐
I love to go to a class at Twin-city Orthopedist called TC Body burn
My favorite workout is a trail run followed by strength exercises! It was a tough choice between that and slalom skiing and attempting to run the course! It’s a complete body workout without a doubt!
I love dance-cardio and Zumba styles.. are these good enough for that or is the ankle not sufficiently supported?
