Spiked hot chocolate?! YES PLEASE! You’re going to love this dairy-free hot chocolate recipe because it’s spiked with a little bit of amaretto and made with almond milk and maple syrup! Other holiday favorites of ours are these Festive Hot Toddies as well as this Raspberry Mulled Wine…YUM! EVERYONE. This spiked hot chocolate recipe is the mecca of all hot chocolates. Why? One word– Amaretto. Amaretto has such a yummy, almondy flavor and it pairs perfectly with hot chocolate! Amaretto is a sweet Italian liquor and it tastes and smells like the most perfect almond extract on this planet! I love it in this dairy free hot chocolate recipe not only for the flavor but because it’s easy drinking! For this dairy free hot chocolate, you only need 4 total ingredients. 4! Check it out:

- unsweetened almond milk
- maple syrup
- cocoa powder
- amaretto

Dairy Free Spiked Hot Chocolate
Ingredients
- 3 cups unsweetened almond milk
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 2 tablespoon maple syrup
- 2- oz. amaretto
Instructions
- Place almond milk, cocoa powder, and maple syrup in a small sauce pan. Turn heat to high and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to low and let simmer for 5 minutes.
- Place 1 oz. amaretto at the bottom of two mugs, then pour in hot chocolate.
- Enjoy with some frothed almond milk on top.
