Let’s talk about my stovetop popcorn method real quick. Here’s what you’ll need:

My method is super simple. What I do first, is add a little oil to the bottom of the pot (about 1/2 tablespoon per 1/4 cup unpopped) and turn the heat to medium/high. On top of the oil, I add 2 or 3 kernels of unpopped popcorn and then I wait. I wait for these 3 kernels to pop because then I know the pot is perfectly heated and ready for the rest of the kernels. Before I add the rest of the kernels, I add my salt, then the kernels, and then we’re ready to rock and roll. Cover the pot and shake away! You shake so that the kernels don’t burn and so that everything cooks evenly. Soon enough, your kernels will begin to pop and voila, perfectly oiled and salted popcorn, every time!
