There’s nothing you’ll crave more on a hot summer day than this homemade, 3-ingredient Strawberry Dole Whip!
This delicious treat is dairy-free and blends super simple ingredients like frozen strawberries, creamy coconut milk, and naturally sweet agave syrup to make all of your dessert dreams come true. Have fun, and add your favorite toppings!
If you’ve visited any of the Disney parks, you’ll know about the famous pineapple Dole whip served there. The fam and I couldn’t get enough of its natural flavor and creamy texture whenever we visited! But then the girls and I had an idea… what about a strawberry version without any of the artificial ingredients?
Guys, get ready because you might like this strawberry dole whip even better than the classic treat!
It’s SO easy to make, too! You literally just dump your ingredients in a food processor, blend, and pipe it into a bowl, on a cone, or anything you fancy really. You’re going to LOVE it! Don’t forget the fun toppings — my toddler never let’s me forget that 😋
What’s Needed for Strawberry Dole Whip
This strawberry dole whip recipe requires only 3 ingredients!!
The frozen strawberries give this dessert its icy texture, so it’s important to use frozen ones instead of fresh — aka it’s a good time to check out our tutorial for how to freeze strawberries 🤩
We used full-fat coconut milk, which adds a creamy and rich texture to the dole whip, while agave syrup provides a natural sweetness that complements the strawberries perfectly.
You’ll also need a food processor or high-speed blender to mix all of these tasty ingredients together.

Yes! Feel free to use any frozen berries you’d like! You can even do the classic pineapple version by using frozen pineapple instead of strawberries.

4-Ingredient Dole Whip
Try our 4-ingredient version of the classic Dole Whip. You’ll love it!
here’s a tip!
If the coconut milk is separated, be sure to stir it together. This will ensure a smooth and creamy texture for your strawberry dole whip.
What if my strawberry Dole whip isn’t thick enough?
The dole whip may be thick enough in step #3 to pipe right away. However, if it is a little too runny for piping, store it in the freezer to firm up before piping.
Fun Topping Ideas for Strawberry Dole Whip
- Sprinkles, obviously!
- Serve it in a waffle cone instead of a dish (toddler approved 😋)
- Toasted coconut
- Fresh strawberries
- Chocolate chips
- Crushed graham crackers
- Whipped cream
- Sliced almonds
- Granola
How to Store Leftovers
If you have any leftovers (which is rare in my experience), you can store them in an airtight container or freezer-safe bag in the freezer for up to 2 weeks.
When ready to eat, let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes before scooping. If you freeze it in a bag, you can cut off the corner and squeeze it out like a soft-serve ice cream!
