If I had to choose one overnight oats flavor to eat for the rest of my life, it would hands down be this peanut butter banana variation. I can’t even count the amount of times I’ve made them and the same goes for lots of you. I love eating them with a giant scoop of peanut butter on top with some sliced bananas. And, more recently, I’ve been adding a scoop of protein powder!

This peanut butter banana overnight oats recipe is one of our most popular Fit Foodie Finds breakfasts. They are smooth, and creamy, and only take 5 minutes to prepare. Bonus – my 1-year-old Gus is obsessed with them, which means your kids will love them too 🕺
What is in peanut butter banana overnight oats?
You are absolutely going to love this creamy overnight oats recipe. It’s sweetened with mashed banana and honey and made thick and creamy with Greek yogurt and peanut butter. Enjoy!
- Rolled Oats (you can sub quick cooking, but we prefer the texture of rolled)
- Creamy Peanut Butter
- Banana
- Unsweetened Almond Milk
- Greek Yogurt
- Honey
- Chia Seeds
- Cinnamon
- Vanilla
Variations for PB Banana Overnight Oats
- Add protein: If you’re hoping to fit more protein into your diet, go ahead and try adding around 2 tablespoons of your favorite protein powder or collagen.
- Use a different sweetener: feel free to swap the honey for maple syrup, agave, or even brown sugar.
- Swap the peanut butter: if you can’t do peanut butter, any kind of nut butter works. Try almond butter or cashew butter!
Topping Ideas
Don’t forget the toppings…it’s the best part! We went with more sliced bananas, a dollop of creamy peanut butter, and some chopped peanuts. Here are other ideas:
- Berries
- chocolate chips
- Fresh lemon zest
- Almond milk
- Dried cranberries
How long do PB Banana Overnight Oats last in the fridge?
Store leftover peanut butter banana overnight oats in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3. We recommend on adding your toppings fresh right before serving.

New into the overnight oats game and this was the first recipe I tried. To be honest, I had higher expectations. Everyone makes it sound like a dessert, but to me it was more like sweetened porridge haha.. Maybe it’s just not for everyone. But I do feel full and ready for the day ahead! Thanks for sharing
I loved this recipe. At first, I didnโt believe this would work. But I was wrong. The picture below is from before I put the oats in the fridge. This is so tasty. All I would recommend is that if you donโt have a large banana, put the whole banana in the bowl and not half. I would 100% recommend this to everyone I know!
This is truly one of my favorite overnight oats recipes!
Thank you for all the content offered by the page through your comments and information, it was a great help for some work that I had pending for the university, thanks for everything
I’ve made this a couple of times and my boyfriend and i love this recipe, thanks guys!
This is a staple for me! Iโve made this dozens of times. Sometimes Iโll add blueberries or other fruit if available. Highly recommend this recipe!
I can’t even count how many times I’ve made this recipe! I sometimes add a little protein powder to it too! This is one of my favorite breakfasts to meal prep for a busy week. Thank you!
One of my first and by now a go-to overnight oats recipe that I keep returning to (with minor tweaks: extra banana instead of yogurt and maple syrup instead of honey). There’s something delightful about the combination of various sweet tastes plus the creamy texture. Thank you!
So tastey! Canโt wait to eat it in the morning! But just curious if one serving is about a cup or half a cup?
A serving is half the recipe!
My family absolutely loves these overnight oats. Even my picky 6 year old asks for them! Thank you!
I reckon something really special in this website.
