Ingredients – What You Need

The ingredients for the base of these blended baked oats recipes are staple ingredients that you probably already have on hand.

How to Make Blended Baked Oats

Preheat Oven

Preheat the oven to 350ºF and spray an oven-safe, 8-oz. ramekin with non-stick cooking spray. You can also use any oven-safe container such as a mug, bowl, etc.

Blend Base Ingredients

Place all of the base ingredients into a blender and blend until the ingredients are combined and the oats are broken up into oat flour.

Add Flavor Combo Ingredients to Blender

Choose what flavor combination you would like and add those ingredients to the base ingredient in the blender. Pulse those ingredients into the base batter until everything is combined. 

Pour Batter Into Ramekin & Bake

Pour the batter into the greased ramekin and place the ramekin in the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes or until cooked through. Let cool & enjoy!

How long do blended baked oats keep? If you store your blended baked oats in the refrigerator in an air-tight container, it should last anywhere from 3-5 days. You can also try freezing your baked oats for later and that will keep for 3 months.

Can you use instant oatmeal for baking? Yes! You can use both rolled oatmeal and quick cooking oatmeal in most baked oatmeal recipes, especially because you’re blending the oats before baking.

Can you use oat flour in place of rolled oats? Yes! Swap the oat flour 1:1 for the rolled oats.

Should blended baked oats be refrigerated? While we suggest always refrigerating your blended baked oats, it should be okay in the counter overnight. We do want to note that it will last much longer in the fridge than on the counter.

Why is oatmeal a good breakfast? Oatmeal is a great breakfast option because it’s packed with fiber and 100% whole grains.

Can you leave cooked oatmeal out overnight? Yes, you can leave your cooked baked oats out overnight. Do note that we suggest refrigerating your baked oatmeal for the best results.

How to Store Baked Oats

Once your blended baked oats have fully cooled, we suggest placing into an airtight container.

Store your blended baked oats in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. While you can leave your blended baked oats out overnight, they will last much longer in the fridge.

Can you freeze baked oats? To freeze these blended baked oats, let them cool completely. Then tightly wrap it with a piece of tin foil and remove as much air as possible. Freeze for up to 3 months.

Ingredients 

Base 

Peanut Butter Cookie Dough

Banana Berry

  • ½ small mashed banana
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/4 cup blueberries*, make sure to only pulse the berries in, not blend/puree

Chocolate Chocolate Chip

Instructions 

  • Preheat the oven to 350ºF and spray an oven safe 8-oz. ramekin (you can also use a muffin tin or an oven safe bowl/mug) with non-stick cooking spray. 
  • Place all of the base ingredients into a blender and blend until the ingredients are combined and the oats are broken up into oat flour. The batter should resemble pancake batter. Feel free to use a single-serve smoothie blender or a normal-sized blender.

  • Choose what flavor combination you would like and add those ingredients to the base ingredient in the blender. 
  • Pulse those ingredients into the base batter until combined. 
  • Pour the batter into the greased ramekin and place the ramekin in the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes or until cooked through.

  • Remove the baked oatmeal from the oven and let it cool on a wire rack for 5-10 minutes and enjoy.

Tips & Notes

  • Before starting this recipe be sure you know what flavor combination you are going to make and prepare your ingredients. 
  • Blueberries: make sure not to puree the blueberries and only pulse them as too much liquid will get released. Feel free to use fresh or frozen.

My girls absolutely LOVE these ‘muffins!’ I triple the recipe and it makes a dozen. I merged the peanut butter cookie dough recipe with the chocolate chip cookie recipe. I sub almond butter and leave out the chocolate chips so it’s extra healthy and my kids literally eat this for breakfast every single weekday. Thank you for this AMAZING recipe!

Do you know how these equate to WW? I love making a lot of these at a time and then I freeze them (the chocolate is my favorite) with PB2 on top. I just wonder the WW value.

I made the PB chocolate baked oats with PB2 and a little extra milk and it was a perfect snowy morning delight!! Only took about 20 mins in my toaster oven
