I love Lemonade
I LOVE LEMONADE AND LEMONADE LOVES ME. There, I said it. I am a total sucker for lemonade. Like at the Wisconsin State Fair, I bypass the milk stand and bolt right for the lemonade. SO. GOOD. The best part is when I can taste the sugar crystals at the bottom. I also love that I can physically see the lemons being squeezed at the stand. That’s how you know the lemonade is really good…fresh lemon juice!No Sugar Lemonade
Linley and I decided that we wanted this lavender lemonade to be made with honey instead of refined sugar to lighten things up a bit and to add better flavor. Thus the “no sugar lemonade.” So? When in doubt, make a honey simple syrup. Of course, our honey simple syrup was infused with lavender to make lavender lemonade! Don’t let the words simple syrup scare you. Essentially all you have to do is bring honey and water to a boil and boom, you have a simple syrup.Simple Ingredients
- honey lavender simple syrup: think about making a double to triple batch to use in cocktails! It will last for a few weeks in your fridge.
- fresh lemon juice: the fresher the better! We recommend freshly squeezing if possible.
- water: water is going to help dilute things and take away the extreme sourness from the lemon juice.

Honey Lavender Lemonade Recipe
Ingredients
Lavender Honey Simple Syrup
- 1/2 cup filtered water
- 1/2 cup all-natural honey
- 1 tablespoon dried lavender
Honey Lavender Lemonade
- 1 cup lemon juice, freshly squeezed
- 1 cup filtered water*
- 3/4 cup lavender-infused honey simple syrup
Instructions
Lavender Honey Simple Syrup
- Place all ingredients into a small saucepan and turn to medium/high heat.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce to low and let simmer for 5 minutes. Stirring consistently until honey dissolves into water.
- Pour into a glass container, cover, and place and into the fridge. Let sit overnight or for at least 8 hours to let the lavender infuse even more.
- Strain lavender before serving.
Honey Lavender Lemonade
- Place all ingredients into a pitcher and mix.
- Depending on how sweet you like your lemonade, add more honey simple syrup. You can also add more water as needed to make it less sour.
- Serve over ice.
Tips & Notes
- Honey simple syrup: You might have a little simple syrup leftover depending on how sweet you like your lemonade. Will stay good in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
- Spike it: option to add 4-6 oz. vodka to make a spiked lemonade recipe similar to our strawberry vodka lemonade.

My problem with lemonade that I don’t make myself is exactly the huge amount of sugar, and that ruins it for me. I prefer my lemonde to be tangy and refreshing, can’t wait to try this honey lavender recipe of yours, sounds lovely!

So funny, I grew up in Wisconsin but never attended the state fair as a kid. I’ve actually been to the Minnesota State Fair more times than I have been to the Wisconsin State Fair (2 times vs 1). I am definitely a get in and get out of there type of “fair goer”. I am surprised your Minnesota native friends haven’t dragged you there every year! ๐

I know Michigan has a state fair but I have never been before. Now you are making me curious about them haha. But that’s so true that I didn’t even realize other states had state fairs too. I feel like it must be a midwest thing.
