Step 3: Scoop 1 tablespoon of flaxseed meal into a small bowl and add 3 tablespoons of warm water to the flax meal. 1 tablespoon of flaxseed meal + 3 tablespoons of warm water once thickened is the equivalent of 1 real egg. If the recipe you’re making calls for more than one egg, you can can double or triple this recipe in one bowl to make multiple flax eggs.
Step 4: Whisk the mixture together and let sit for at least 15 minutes or until it becomes gelatinous and thick in consistency.
Step 5: Place the leftover flaxseed meal into an airtight container or mason jar and store in the refrigerator for later use.
