Banana nice cream is my ultimate healthy dessert. With simple ingredients and delicious flavor, this healthy ice cream is the perfect way to curb those sugar cravings!

Instead of using white sugar, this soft serve relies on the natural sweetness of bananas. It’s like a guilt-free dessert dream come true. But here’s the kicker – we’ve added peanut butter cups and all-natural peanut butter for an extra layer of indulgence and texture. It’s like a peanut butter-chocolate party right in your blender.

Why you need to make this peanut butter cup banana nice cream!

  • Quick, easy, no-fuss, one-bowl wonder
  • Vegan
  • Dairy-free
  • Gluten-free

What You Need for Peanut Butter Cup Banana Nice Cream

  • Frozen Ripe Bananas: They bring that natural sweetness and an unreal creaminess without needing an ounce of added sugar. It’s the perfect way to use up those brown bananas on your counter. Check out how we freeze bananas
  • All-Natural Peanut Butter: This isn’t your run-of-the-mill stuff; it’s the real deal – no added sugars, no funky business. It’s the nutty hero that gives your nice cream a rich, indulgent flavor. Almond butter works well here, too.
  • Unsweetened Almond Milk: Adds a bit of liquid goodness to make everything blend seamlessly without extra sugar.
  • Mini Peanut Butter Cups: We added mini peanut butter cups for even more peanut butter goodness and a hint of chocolate for fun. You can use store-bought (my favorite kind is Justin’s) or homemade peanut butter cups.

High Speed Food Processor: We recommend a high speed food processor for this recipe as there’s not enough liquid for a blender.

A Few Nice Cream Tips

  • For flavorful banana nice cream, be sure the bananas are ripe (yellow or slightly browned). Trust us, it will make the nice cream sweeter.
  • We used almond milk, but you can use any type of milk that you would like.
  • To up the protein in this nice cream, use vanilla core power protein milk.
  • If you want to add a little more sweetness, adding a dash of maple syrup never hurt anyone.

How to Serve PB Cup Banana Nice Cream

There are 2 different ways to make and serve your nice cream.

  1. Serve it like soft serve: if you eat your nice cream right out of the food processor it will resemble the texture of soft serve.
  2. Serve it like ice cream: If you prefer a scoopable ice cream, transfer your batter into a bread pan and spread it out. Freeze it for 1-2 hours until it’s just frozen enough to scoop!

How long will this creamy banana nice cream last in the freezer?

We recommend storing leftovers in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 1 month.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups sliced, frozen bananas
  • 1/4 cup all-natural peanut butter
  • 1/4 – 1/2 cup plain, unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/3 cup mini peanut butter cups

Instructions

  • Place frozen banana slices, peanut butter, and 1/4 cup almond milk into a food processor or high-speed blender. Blend on high until a smooth consistency has formed. If things are too thick, add a little bit more almond milk.
  • Add in mini peanut butter cups and pulse to combine.
  • Option to eat immediately for a “soft-serve-like” consistency or to transfer into a parchment-lined bread pan to freeze for a more “ice cream-like” consistency. Freeze for about 2 hours. If you freeze for longer, it will become solid and hard to scoop, so you will need to thaw!
  • Serve with more peanut butter cups and a drizzle of peanut butter.

I bought mine at Costco and the recipe book and owner’s guide was not in the box. I called Ninja and was able to get a pdf of the owner’s manual but they would not send me the recipe book! Do you know where I can find a good recipe book or THE recipe book? I don’t do many smoothies but would love some food processor recipe or the soft serve recipe. I appreciate any help you can give. I want to use my machine to it’s fullest!

I’ve been meaning to make a lot more smoothies too, and with the weather it’s a lot more appropriate! Sometimes I make them too liquidy and not creamy enough! But who wouldn’t want this ice cream for breakfast?! It looks absolutely perfect!
