It was very good super tasty and I really liked the texture. I paired it with some blueberries to add fruit to my breakfast.
I’d add more chia seeds next time to make it creamier and I think it won’t be my go-to for everyday breakfast just because the flavor was a bit too strong for me.
Glad you loved this!
My go to overnight oats! The chai spice is bangin.
Ohhh lovely !!!!
Chocolate oatmeal is one of my favorite variations of oatmeal! Great for breakfast, but tastes like dessert. Mixing chai into the flavor definitely will elevate its fall element. Really, anything complements chocolate!
Ahh could not agree more! 🙂
I need to get back into making overnight oats again–this looks awesome and I love that it’s so easy to make! :]!
Do you think rolled/old-fashioned oats would work as well?

New reader & I am loving your blog Lee- gorgeous photos! I have recently gotten back into overnight oats and I can’t get enough…it’s almost like eating dessert for breakfast! As a huge chai lover, I am totally making this soon. Have you ever tried a dirty chai tea latte i.e. a chai tea latte with a shot of espresso added in. If not, you need to ASAP!
YAY! I’m so glad you found me. I’ve never tried a dirty chai but it SOUNDS AMAZING. Doode- how did I not think of that?!
I need all the help I can get to eat breakfast! This looks amazing! I love flavoured oats! Used to buy the unhealthy ones when I lived in England.
Anyhow, I feel like the daftest person in the world, but is it as simple as just mixing the two together, and then putting it in the fridge overnight? no boiling or anything?
Another problem I have is probably with the type of oats, but that is just because I live in Sweden and have not heard about quick oats or “normal” oats etc.
Anyway, please let me know so I can make this deliciousness and give me another reason to buy those kinds of jars (again)! Love it!!!
Oats all day every day – that’s me. Okay, not ALL day but every because oats are seriously hot. And that’s how I take mine. Ha, can you tell from my lame jokes I just got home from work – hungry for some oats?!
Haha I was thinking more like happy hour 😀 😀 Oats for dinner…yes please!
I need to try your pumpkin coconut oats STAT!
Yum! I’ve still been on my chia pudding kick even with the fall weather approaching but usually keep it pretty plain. I need to try this recipe. I bought all of your spices this past weekend for your DIY chai to make your hot chocolate. Now I can repurpose too and make two recipes in one. Genius.
I prefer my oats hot and I eat some type of nut butter er day. Love it 🙂
I’ve still never made chia puddinggggg. Give me a recipe?!?! Pretty please!
I actually don’t have a true recipe but I usually mix 1/2 c. Almond milk with 1.5 T chia seeds, shake well and put in the fridge overnight. It turns into a thick yogurt like consistency. Then, you can mix in whatever you’d like. Cacao, banana, goji, or NUT BUTTER
I never measure anything….jk. But seriously.
The pictures…I’m dying. Like the things I would do for those little white spoons. Loving this!!
ER MER I know. You HAVE to go to Crate and Barrel…you will pee your pants there is so much good stuff.
Confession: Totally peed a little when we went to C & B.
You are the queen of oats. I prefer cold oats but I’m thinking I need to give warm oats a tenth try. I want to like them! As for a food I eat every day….. does coffee count? 😀
Uhhh yes, coffee is a food group in itself 😀 It’s definitely on my list!
Oat Queen :'( how to do as good as you? 🙁 so delicious 😛
Agree– better with coffee 🙂 #addict
Life is better with coffee. OMG that should be a blog. LifeIsBetterWithCoffee.com
Oh hey sexy oats.
I love making my oats the night before but cooking them if that makes sense and no yogurt. I eat cheese everyday. no wait. Bread? I don’t know. Water.
Do you drink alcohol with your breakfast?!?! jkjkjk, but seriously, I’ve done that before 😀
