If I had to choose one overnight oats flavor to eat for the rest of my life, it would hands down be this peanut butter banana variation. I can’t even count the amount of times I’ve made them and the same goes for lots of you. I love eating them with a giant scoop of peanut butter on top with some sliced bananas. And, more recently, I’ve been adding a scoop of protein powder!

I can’t even count how many times I’ve made this recipe! I sometimes add a little protein powder to it too! This is one of my favorite breakfasts to meal prep for a busy week. Thank you!-Larissa

This peanut butter banana overnight oats recipe is one of our most popular Fit Foodie Finds breakfasts. They are smooth, and creamy, and only take 5 minutes to prepare. Bonus – my 1-year-old Gus is obsessed with them, which means your kids will love them too 🕺

What is in peanut butter banana overnight oats?

You are absolutely going to love this creamy overnight oats recipe. It’s sweetened with mashed banana and honey and made thick and creamy with Greek yogurt and peanut butter. Enjoy!

Ingredient Swaps

  • Add protein: If you’re hoping to fit more protein into your diet, go ahead and try adding around 2 tablespoons of your favorite protein powder or collagen.
  • Use a different sweetener: feel free to swap the honey for maple syrup, agave, or even brown sugar.
  • Swap the peanut butter: if you can’t do peanut butter, any kind of nut butter works.

Topping Ideas

Don’t forget the toppings…it’s the best part! We went with more sliced bananas, a dollop of creamy peanut butter, and some chopped peanuts. Here are other ideas:

  • Berries
  • chocolate chips
  • Fresh lemon zest
  • Almond milk
  • Dried cranberries

How to Store Overnight Oats

Store leftover peanut butter banana overnight oats in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3-5 days. We recommend on adding your toppings fresh right before serving.

I really need to get back into making overnight oats again. Now that it’s 90 degrees in Phoenix I will have to. It’s too early to be this hot and I need food to cool me off!
