If I had to choose one overnight oats flavor to eat for the rest of my life, it would hands down be this peanut butter banana variation. I can’t even count the amount of times I’ve made them and the same goes for lots of you. I love eating them with a giant scoop of peanut butter on top with some sliced bananas. And, more recently, I’ve been adding a scoop of protein powder!

Variations for PB Banana Overnight Oats

  • Add protein: If you’re hoping to fit more protein into your diet, go ahead and try adding around 2 tablespoons of your favorite protein powder or collagen.
  • Use a different sweetener: feel free to swap the honey for maple syrup, agave, or even brown sugar.
  • Swap the peanut butter: if you can’t do peanut butter, any kind of nut butter works. Try almond butter or cashew butter!

Topping Ideas

Don’t forget the toppings…it’s the best part! We went with more sliced bananas, a dollop of creamy peanut butter, and some chopped peanuts. Here are other ideas:

Ingredients

Instructions 

  • First, mash 1/2 banana in a large bowl. Then add the rest of the wet ingredients and mix until smooth.
  • Add in dry ingredients and mix again.
  • Place in the refrigerator, covered, for at least 2 hours or overnight. Serve cold.

Tips & Notes

  • Feel free to double this recipe.
  • It should stay good refrigerated for up to 3-4 days.
  • Depending on how thick you like your overnight oats, you may add a splash of almond milk before serving.
  • Nutrition facts are without the toppings.

These are really great!!! Iโ€™ve tried other recipes for overnight oats and have been really unsatisfied so Iโ€™m so happy I found this recipe!!!! I doubled it and it made quite a lot too! Very delicious!!

So filling and so good. Iโ€™ve been heating up my kitchen in this July heat so I wanted a no cook breakfast and this hits the spot & keeps me full. So much flavor & had all ingredients but just had to add the chia seeds to my grocery list. Would totally recommend!

I am focusing on dairy free foods. Would you recommend increasing the amount of almond milk to compensate for no Greek yogurt?

I have tried a few other overnite oats recipes and 2 hours later I was starving but with this, it seems like such a small but it was absolutely delicious and held me over for a good 4 hours. Thanks for sharing.
