This stunning blueberry cobbler is made with bursting blueberries and a simple cobbler topping for a perfect summer treat.
Must-Make Blueberry Cobbler!
You see those crispy edges on that blueberry cobbler? Yup, that’s all thanks to a layer of butter on the bottom that will get your cobbler nice and crispy on the outside.
We’ve been loving all things blueberries over here at Fit Foodie Finds. Our blueberry banana bread is a fun twist on manner bread and our blueberry overnight oats are a crowd favorite (they taste like dessert!).
This simple blueberry cobbler recipe is truly as easy as pie…er cobbler! It only requires 7 ingredients and about 1 hour of your time. Serve a la mode and enjoy.
What You Need for Blueberry Cobbler
- Butter: butter is a necessity for this recipe as it creates a yummy, crunchy crust.
- Blueberries: feel free to use fresh or frozen berries.
- Honey: we love that this recipe is sweetened with just honey.
- Baking powder: this is the leavener.
- Milk: any kind of milk works for this cobbler recipe.
Can I use frozen berries?
Feel free to use either fresh blueberries or frozen blueberries.
Top Tips
Melt butter in dish: instead of dirtying another dish, melt your butter right in the casserole dish in the oven while it’s preheating.
Use fresh or frozen blueberries: feel free to use either fresh or frozen berries. Both work perfectly.
Bake until golden brown: bake until the edges of the cobbler start to turn golden brown. They’ll get nice and crispy thanks to the butter x honey combo.
Serve a la mode: we recommend serving this healthy dessert idea with vanilla ice cream or Greek yogurt.
Variations
- Use a different berry: try using a different berry such as raspberries, strawberries, or even mixed frozen berries.
- Make it gluten-free: swap the AP flour for a gluten-free flour blend.
- Make it vegan: use maple syrup instead of honey and dairy-free milk such as oat milk or almond milk.
Storage
Store leftover cobbler in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
