Where my green smoothie lovers at?! We’ve big green smoothie fans over here at Fit Foodie Finds, and this avocado smoothie is no exception, Not only does it pack delicious flavor, it’s overflowing with healthy ingredients you’ll love.

In most green smoothies, the green color comes from the greens you use such as kale, spinach and avocado. For this smoothie, we opted for avocado and spinach. Greens can be boring to eat, but when you put them in a smoothie. It’s easy breezy and oh so delicious. Greens are:

Avocado Smoothie — What You Need
This delicious avocado smoothie comes together in FOUR ingredients. That’s right, you’re less than a handful of ingredients away from enjoying this nutritious and delicious smoothie. You’ll need:
- Frozen avocado slices (learn how to easily freeze avocado!)
- Frozen banana (learn how to easily freeze bananas!)
- Fresh spinach
- Almond milk
How to Make an Avocado Smoothie (step by step)
This avocado smoothie is as easy as 1-2-3. We’ll show ya how to whip this up in 5 minutes flat:
- Everything into the Blender: Place all ingredients into a high-speed blender.
- Blend to Perfection: Blend on high until completely smooth. Pro tip: you have the option to add more almond milk as needed to thin things out.
- Serve and Enjoy: Serve smoothie immediately and top with your favorite toppings.

How to Freeze Avocados
Freezing avocado slices for this avocado smoothie is as easy as 1-2-3. We’ll walk ya through it:
PREP FOR FREEZING
Place parchment paper onto a large plate or small baking sheet, and set aside. You’ll need this for your avocado slices!
SLICE AVOCADO
Half your avocados and remove the pits and the skin, and then slice avocados into thin slices and place directly onto the parchment paper.
FREEZE AVOCADO SLICES
Freeze for 20-30 minutes or until frozen solid to the touch.
Once your avocado slices are completely frozen, remove from the freezer. Use it right away in this smoothie! Or, place the slices in a freezer-safe bag or container and return it to the freezer for later use.

We love using frozen avocados in smoothies because gives smoothies a super creamy texture while also packing tons of great nutrients. Plus, when you put frozen avocado in smoothies instead of room temperature avocado, it helps keep the smoothie nice and cold without using ice. Double win!

- ½ cup spinach, packed
