Our homemade salmon seasoning is the perfect blend of smokey and sweet. It uses 7 basic spices and no weird fillers or additives. I especially love using this seasoning on our smoked salmon because it creates this epic crust that is just irresistible. And bonus, I’ve used this very salmon seasoning rub as more of an everyday seasoning on roasted veggies and such and you’d never know it was developed for fish 🤫
Keep a batch of this homemade salmon rub on hand for making air fryer salmon, pan fried salmon or fiesta salmon rice bowls.
This is seriously the best salmon seasoning and our go-to in the Fit Foodie kitchen! It uses a short list of very simple spices (garlic forward with a hint of paprika) that packs big flavor but doesn’t overpower the amazing taste of salmon itself.
We love using this seasoning for salmon for any cook-method, but especially when grilling salmon smoking salmon, or air frying it because it helps create almost like a crust-like outside.

Our all-time favorite salmon is Surrender Salmon. They catch wild-Alaskan salmon off of Bristol Bay in Alaska. The salmon is bright orange, so flakey and delicious, and truly the best.
