Avocado, Anyone?
First things first, let’s talk…AVOCADOS. I’ve always got avocados on hand at our house. ALWAYS. I like to buy them at the store when they are still hard, let them sit on my counter until they’ve reached the perfect ripeness, and then into the refrigerator, they go to make sure they’re not TOO ripe when I’m ready to use them. I’ve found they can last up to 2 weeks if I do this when they reach the perfect ripeness! It’s so frustrating to cut into an avocado only to find an over-ripe, un-salvageable ‘cado. Mango Guacamole Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 large mango
- 4 medium ripe avocados
- 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, diced (or more, to taste)
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1/4 teaspoon salt, or more, to taste*
Instructions
- First, peel mango and then cut into small cubes. Set aside.
- Next, remove the flesh and pit from the avocados and place into the bowl. Using a fork, mash until they’ve reached desired consistency.
- Add in diced cilantro, lime juice, salt, and cubed mango to the avocado. Stir until mixed completely.
- Give the guacamole a taste and add more salt as needed. We actually used around 1/2 teaspoon of salt*, but there is nothing worse than over-salting. So, start with 1/4 teaspoon and go from there.
- Serve mango guacamole with tortilla chips or as a side to accompany any of your favorite dishes.

I recently made a pineapple guac but I think I’d like the mango version better!
What about grilled pineapple. I bet that’s legit.
I JUST finished up a guac recipe and now wishing I had a mango to faceplant with it- Although cilantro.. no dice. Herby punishment!
AHAHAHAHA. What is it with men and cilantro. Haters.
There’s a really awesome Mexican restaurant by us that features a guacamole of the day (which is awesome in itself) and most of the time they feature fresh seasonal fruit in their guac. It’s so good!! I’ve never had mango, but I’m sure it would be delicious. I love the sweetness fruit adds to the avocado.
I NEED THAT RESTAURANT IN MY LIFE.
When in doubt add avocado is a great motto to have! This looks delicious, loveee the sweet/salty combo.
LOL. I’m thinking that needs to be a new blog.
easy-peasy recipe. I am a big fan of no-cook recipes……. Avocados are healthy and mangoes are my all time favourites…sure I will try this recipe.
ME TOO! No cook recipes rule!
YuM! This looks delish – I love when guac is super chunky ๐
I’m gonna skip the whole tortilla chip thing and eat this with a spoon straight from the jar (see what I did there?). YA, YUM.
:PPPPP You so funnnnnay. Slash I do that all the time. No need for a vessel.
Mango + guac are two of my favorite foods! Perfect combination in one!
