Plant Based on a Budget
But first, let’s talk about some easy ways to buy plant based on a budget! I’m all about saving money (re: Nordstrom Sale) and eating plant based a few days a week can help you save some dough. Why?- My favorite plant based protein is – the bean! Beans are an inexpensive way to get not only protein but fiber into your diet. Buy em’ when they’re on sale and keep them in storage for times when you just don’t know what to make.
- Buy in bulk! Get your grains, dried beans, dried fruit, nuts, and seeds in bulk. You’ll save so much money and be able to buy a larger variety of products in one trip to the grocery store.
- Shop seasonal! You’ll find that seasonal fruits and veggies will be less expensive during their time of harvest. So, buy cherries in the summer, not the winter and you’ll know what I mean.

Plant-based means no animals. First recipe is vegan, next NINE have animal products. What ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?!?

Strawberry vegan fruit leather is amazing!!
Loved this. So simple but so refreshing and light. Game great energy for the morning ahead.
Cheese is not plant-based!
Cheese comes from milk, that comes from a cow which ate grass.
What plant did the cheese come from? Lmao how can you call this plant based? Maybe hit up culinary school.
It’s a nice post but maybe it shouldn’t be called plant based. Plant based doesn’t just mean lots of fruits and veggies. It means the items are plant based. Cheese is not plant based. No offense but the title is misleading.
Terrific review, I have been literally captivated, thank you so much for details, but elizabeth is right: http://chefclub.stream has great contents such as video reviews on vegetarian recipe … but your style is definitely better! No comparison, thanks for sharing, again great job!

Bonus on these recipes: ADD Herbs or SEEDS for even healthier or more delicious meal on almost EVERY preparation. Works best for the salads!

It’s not plant based!
I was excited to see someone offering 53 plant-based recipes….but then disappointed to see the first recipe uses cheese – which is NOT plant-based. I stopped there. Please….if you are going to offer PB recipes, leave out the animal products – they are NOT plant-based!
Same here! There were SO many with animal products. Plant based means only plants!!!

Hi Lee, Thanks for all the great recipes. I wanted to ask, do you find when you use the the rubber cup cake holders for muffins instead of paper that the muffin sinks in the middle-if not, any tricks!
Hey Debbi! To be honest, I’ve only used those for peanut butter cups. I usually don’t use muffin liners when I make muffins!
